Sanoma Vihkiruusu Placement

The Sanoma hoodie is made of organic cotton French terry, and it has a straight, unisex fit. The hoodie features the large, printed Vihkiruusu flower in the front and smaller Vihkiruusu flowers on the sleeves. It has a drawstring hood and ribbing at the sleeve ends and hemline. The small sized Marimekko logo is printed in the upper backside of the hoodie. This product's unique appearance is the result of innovative dyeing technology to achieve the distressed effect on the garment. Every product has their own unique look, and some color tone differences may appear between products.

Vihkiruusu (wedding rose) was born in a time when hardly any floral designs were included in Marimekko’s collections. Maija Isola, however, was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create an entire range of novel floral prints. The iconic Unikko was one of the designs in that range along with Vihkiruusu.
