Petra Börner is often drawn to natural themes in her work, exploring varied techniques with a passionate line that ties her compositions together. The botanical pattern Vildstjälk is part of her ongoing POWERFLOWER series. The pattern was created through ‘print-painting’ ink and acrylic colors onto paper; an experimental process combining elements of chance and control. The title translates as wild stem, referring to freedom of movement and celebrating a courageous type of plant.
