Anteesi Unikko

The Anteesi coat is made of firm organic cotton, and it has an oversized, A-line fit. The coat features the Unikko pattern, and it has a high standing collar, a snap button closure, and wide list pockets in the front. The cape-like coat has loose sleeves and dropped from the shoulders, and the sleeve ends have wide, snap buttoned tabs, which feature embroidered Marimekko logos. There is a central seam and a long hem slit in the back.

Our coats are sewn using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary slightly. Each item is unique.

Marimekko’s famous pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
